Among other agenda items are a 49 plot development at the Fannin/Gilmer border, current under review for rezoning from agricultural to residential. This is contingent on whether or not Blue Ridge is willing to supply water to the development, as Gilmer cannot supply water that far out of the county.
Also, Gilmer is approving a Buddhist Sanctuary on the county, a large plot of land set aside for the public institute being donated to the American Dhamma Society.
