📖 Evidence from the Qur'an

Allah سبحانه وتعالى says:

إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ
لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

Meaning:

“Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree.
And what can make you know what the Night of Decree is?
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.”
(Qur’an – Surah Al-Qadr 97:1-3)

📖 Hadith Dua for Laylatul Qadr

Aisha (RA) reported that she asked the Prophet ﷺ:

“What should I say if I know which night is Laylatul Qadr?”

The Prophet ﷺ replied:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa‘fu ‘anni

Meaning:

“O Allah, You are Most Forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive me.”
(Hadith – Tirmidhi)

May Allah grant us the blessing of witnessing Laylatul Qadr, forgive all our sins, increase our sustenance with barakah, and grant us peace, prosperity, and protection in this life and the Hereafter.
