LIVE: Au Pair Love Triangle Murder Trial — VA v. Brendan Banfield — Day Two

The stabbing of his wife and a man, Joseph Ryan, happened inside the family's Virginia home. Prosecutors claim Banfield orchestrated an elaborate plot to kill Christine and stage the scene as a home intrusion so he could be with the family’s au pair. Investigators believe Ryan was lured to the home through a fake fetish website profile posing as Christine. Ryan was shot while Christine was stabbed during the attack. Magalhães pleaded guilty to manslaughter and is expected to testify against Banfield; Banfield faces second-degree murder charges.
