Bright House Networks and Net Literacy congratulate Herron High School’s Internet safety spokesperson for 2015
“If you had 25 seconds, what would you say to other teens about how they could be safe while having fun online?” This was the question that students throughout central Indiana were asked in a safety initiative that asked teens to give advice about Internet safety to their fellow teens. Winners received the opportunity to present their message in a professionally-produce public service announcement that will be carried on Bright House Networks’ cable channels and on Net Literacy’s websites.
The eight most web-savvy youth spokesperson with the best answers were selected from hundreds of responses that were received. The short videos will be used by teachers, parents, and afterschool programs to reinforce effective and safe ways for youths to step in and help others be safe online.
The campaign is part of Bright House Networks’ and Net Literacy's eleven year partnership promoting young people as activist and advocates in bullying prevention and Internet safety awareness.
