Eji Āj hoti kāl na hove bande

Kāl hoti āj ja ho

Ānkh phadkan nā mile bande

Mūnme rahiyo re giroh

Ali bhaj gāfal bande chalnā hi sansār

Eji Jin sang has has bolane bande

Ek ghadi na rahiyo

Khāndh uthā kar gādde bande

Ulat pālat bhayo

Ali bhaj gāfal bande chalnā hi sansār

Ali bhaj lobhi bande chalnā hi sansār



Eji Gur ginān boliyā dātā Pir Shams

Yā shāh jumlo langhāie tūn pār

Dasond diyo mere momano

To utro pele pār

Ali bhaj gāfal bande chalnā hi sansār

Ali bhaj lobhi bande chalnā hi sansār


Translation

O man! Those who weighed mountains with their hands and those who drank the ocean in one drought, such brave (men) blended with the earth. O Man!
Why do you become proud? O oblivious man! Remember Ali (a.s.), this world will come to an end or you will go away from the world. O greedy man! Remember Ali (a.s.), this world is going to end or you will go away from the world.

O man! What is possible today will not be so tomorrow, what is to be done tomorrow, do it today. O Man! The opportunity to even blink an eyelid will not be given and the morsel will remain in the mouth.


O man! With whom (we) used to converse laughingly, will not remain even for a moment. O Man! Will lift him on the shoulder and bury him, everything will turn upside down (or topsy-turvy).

O man! Data Pir Shams (r.a.) has said this ginan, O Lord! Take the whole jamat across to the other shore. O My believers! (If) you will pay Dasond you will reach the other shore.
