SHARPA Robot is a full-size humanoid intelligent robot developed by a Singaporean tech enterprise. Its flagship model North outperformed Tesla’s robot in two high-difficulty tasks—table tennis and pinwheel assembly—at CES2026, demonstrating superior dexterous operation capabilities. The core advantage of this robot lies in its self-developed SharpaWave dexterous hand, which achieves 22 active degrees of freedom through a direct-drive motor scheme. Each fingertip integrates over 1,000 tactile pixels, with a force sensitivity of 0.005 Newtons and sub-millimeter positioning accuracy.
Its full-body coordination control and multimodal reasoning technology are impressive: the reaction time for table tennis is only 0.02 seconds, enabling it to accurately capture high-speed motion trajectories. When assembling pinwheels, it can independently adapt to objects of different materials such as paper, wooden sticks, and plastic pins, completing more than 30 consecutive operational steps. Relying on Dynamic Tactile Array (DTA) technology and neural network algorithms, it can real-time identify object textures and adjust grasping force, boasting both a 20-Newton gripping strength and gentle operation capabilities. As a mass-produced practical robot, SHARPA not only showcases technical strength at consumer electronics shows but also has landing capabilities in scenarios such as industrial precision assembly and service collaboration, marking the leap of humanoid robots from "being able to move" to "being able to perceive and control skillfully".
