United States U Various aircraft comeS Navy Grumman F-11 Tiger aircraft make touch and go landings on the deck of Aircraft Carrier USS Forrestal (CV-59). The USS Forrestal underway in the Atlantic Ocean. Grumman C-1A Trader comes in for landing, followed by two Douglas A-1 Skyraiders. (The second folds its wings immediately after landing.) A Douglas A3D Skywarrior lands. Crew clearing deck of aircraft. The A3D being moved to the hangar deck. Douglas delta-wing A-4 Skyhawk on the elevator. A Grumman F-11 being moved into the hangar. Regulus and Sidewinder missiles on racks below the deck. US Navy Destroyer USS Gyatt (DD-712) pulls up alongside the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal for refueling. A hose being used for the purpose. Carrier type missiles on the deck of the Destroyer. Men aboard the Destroyer. In heavy seas, the destroyer USS Charles Ware (DD-865) underway and during refueling as water washes over the flight deck of the vessel. Bow of the ship submerges in water. Rough sea washes the deck of the USS Charles Ware. Location: Atlantic Ocean. Date: 1962.
