Assam’s first AIIMS likely to be inaugurated on April 14

Описание: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the site of the state’s first All India Institute of Medical Sciences or AIIMS at Changsari on March 23. Sarma took stock of the infrastructure and preparations for the inaugural ceremony. Speaking to the media, Sarma mentioned that the main building's medical room would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 14. The chief minister was accompanied by his cabinet colleague, Minister of Health Keshab Mahanta and several other officials.

"Almost 84 per cent of construction has been completed, 82 per cent of financial goals have been reached and almost 200 students from three batches are studying here. Admission for the fourth batch will be carried out in April-May. I hope if Prime Minister Modi allows it, we will also try to inaugurate the Guwahati AIIMS on April 14," Sarma said.
