Embassy of India, Paris- International Day of Yoga at the Eiffel Tower on 17 June 2018

Описание: Embassy of India, Paris is organizing a series of Yoga events on the occasion of the Fourth International Day of Yoga. As a part of these celebrations, a Yoga event, in association with Sivananda Yoga Centre, was organized at the iconic Eiffel Tower on 17 June 2018 in Paris.

Swami Kailasananda of Sivananda Yoga Centre guided the participants in performing several Yoga asanas to the soft and peaceful background music.

Earlier on 16 June, another grand demonstration of Yoga by the Embassy at the famous public park of La Villette in Paris drew around 3000 participants. Speaking on this occasion, Ambassador of India, His Excellency Mr. Vinay Mohan Kwatra emphasized the importance of Yoga in modern lifestyle. He exhorted the youth to regularly practice Yoga for personality development and stress management.

The Fourth International Day of Yoga events are being celebrated with much enthusiasm in 16 cities of mainland France including Strasbourg, Marseilles, Nice, Gretz, Toulouse, Hossegor, Lyon, Guérande, Pornichet, Auch, Chambery, Nérac, Antibes, Montigny-le-Bretonneux, Gouvieux and Saint- Lô and as well as in Monaco. In addition, various yoga events are being held in the French overseas territories like Guadeloupe, Martinique and the Reunion Islands. News of active and enthusiastic participation by people at the various yoga events in France is pouring in from various cities. It is estimated that around 10,000 people will participate in these celebrations across France.
