The Trust
At Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, we have embarked upon an exciting journey to develop our services. As an ambitious organisation we are continuously looking for ways to enhance and improve the services we offer to our local populations to meet the needs of patients. Last year the Trust was chosen by NHS England to form a Vanguard with Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust to help transform care for patients through implementing new models of care. In 2016 we plan to start work on our new purpose built Endoscopy unit and further develop services at both Queen Mary's Hospital and Erith & District Hospital.

Our high Friends and Family Test score is testament to our delivery of high quality care and we have been voted one of the ‘Best Places to Work in the NHS’ for the second year running. Our welcoming culture and exciting journey ahead will provide fantastic opportunities for our current and future staff within our developing services.

We currently have a workforce of approximately 3000 staff across a wide range of professional and specialist groups. We were recently re-accredited by ‘Investors in People’ which we have held for a decade.

We support and develop our staff through the facilitation of key learning events to enhance their continuing professional development and ensure they are up to date in their clinical knowledge.
