Sitting down with ARRI, American cinematographer Peter Simonite ASC, CSC discusses his work on "Day Of The Fight," directed by Jack Huston. Captured with the ALEXA 35, the film premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival.
"The ALEXA 35 was incredibly helpful in managing highlights and shadows," he explains. Simonite, who worked under the direction of Emmanuel Lubezki ASC for "The Tree of Life" and "To The Wonder," also reveals the director’s decision to shoot in black and white and how the ALEXA 35 was instrumental in achieving the film’s distinctive visual style.
