Climbing Lacets de Montvernier

Описание: This is a late upload after going through some of last year's France trip footage. This is footage of climbing Lacets de Montvernier on September 7th, 2023. This is about 4 hours into our ride after climbing Col de la Croix de Fer and descending Col du Glandon. I vaguely remember discussions of whether anyone was going to try to put in an effort on this climb to cement a solid time on the segment, and ultimately Dave, Ryan, and I threw down some decent efforts on this final climb of the day.

The footage ends at the end of the main Strava segment for the Lacets climb. However, the climb continues another 2,500 ft to Col du Chaussy. Overall, this was potentially even my favorite climb of the trip since it included the iconic Lacets de Montevernier and then continued on to feature beautiful balcony roads, shaded tree tunnels, and incredible views of the valley towards the top. On top of that, there's a bar at the top where we were able to relax and grab a beer before the scenic and incredibly fun descent back down to the valley.
