In order to simplify the intake system of my 1.6 HDI I managed to install a K&N filter. I get rid off all the original air filter case and tube pipes and used an tube of Ford Focus tdci and as you can see the MAF sensor fits perfectly and the 3 1/2'' filter too at the other side of the sensor.
The only modification I did was to enlarge the length of the MAF connector soldering more cables.
I managed to install a heat shield and a protective filter wrap because here rains a lot. So the main heat shield function will be to prevent the water to splash the filter more than hold the heat.
After the installation I notice a slightly improvement of consumption and acceleration rates. The sound during acceleration has improved too. I'm sorry I couldn't show the sound difference on video. I installed a straight tube from PCV to under the car because the oil catch can I had increased the crank case pressure so much making the car to lose oil everywhere. That's the K&N filter code I installed "RE-0950"
