First Time Hearing Atoms for Peace - AMOK

Описание: Thom Yorke really doesn't miss with anything he does, and he does it yet again on this album. I thought that the grooves and production that they had on here were on another level, and they also have insane replay value. The electronic elements, mostly the synths that they included on this album were on another level too. Reminded me of that early 2000s electronic music that was going on and they just turned it into a complete jam. The drums and bass were a bit different from usual, especially the drums and percussion, and I thought that the bass was unlike anything I've really heard really. It was so prominent in the mix, in a good way. The bass and drums were just driving these songs forward so much and then when you get those synths and Thom's heavenly vocals on top of it you get this... I was kind of lost by the lyrics in this one, but it's typical of Thom to have very ambiguous lyrics that take a lot of analysis to even understand. I feel he does this on purpose though, as it also adds to the mystery of the whole thing. This is definitely going in the rotation. Excited for The Smile's stuff next!
