At Agilite, we are big believers in ballistic side plates to protect your vital organs, and not without reason. Among countless other incidents, the Agilite Founder’s IDF Commanding officer was shot and killed when a terrorist bullet struck him between his front and rear armor plates.

You can take a lethal direct hit to your heart or other vital internal organs while wearing the best front and back armor in the world. Often overlooked, ballistic side plates cover your critical access areas that are completely exposed, especially when your weapon is raised.

While many side plates are thick and heavy, Agilite Blindside™ plates give you a smart solution. We wanted to create a side plate that protects a relatively large vulnerable surface area from rifle threats, but that are super light and low-profile so they aren’t heavy or impeding in CQB environments. With just a 0.588” profile, Blindside™ will stop a 7.62x39 AK Armor-Piercing round, a 5.56 M855 mild steel armor penetrating core (Green Tip) round, 5.56, Multiple other 5.56 and 7.62x39 lead or Mild Steel Core rounds heading straight for your internal organs.
