EP 42 Brocante Thrifting Buying Antiques in Bayeux, Vide-Grenier & Coffee Break at Balleroy Chateau!

Описание: Sunday 8th June saw us heading to Bayeux for the First time in a long while to the Monthly Professional Brocante there which was much more Sparce than we ever previously remember but then it is held on the Same day as many Village and Town Vide-Greniers in the Summer so lots of competition especially where Prices are concerned. We DID find a few choice pieces but decided to head 12kms down the road after spending a few hours there to another -this time a Vide-Grenier which unfortunately was diabolical but we DID find a Rare Copper Mould and a wonderful old Fishing Basket so all was not lost. Sometimes its not about quantity but quality-we are always sourcing the very best that we can,so we put it down to experience and headed off home.On the way back we came into the village of the Chateau Balleroy so decided to wait half an hour until it opened for Visitors and went on a Guided Tour of the Interior. The Chateau has been undergoing restoration work since 2023 which finishes in September this year so the facade was covered until then however the Tour was amazing and the Interior Incredible but we wern't allowed to film (sorry folks!) but we visited the Tea-room for a Coffee Break and looked round the lovely Gift Shop-if you are ever in the area it is well worth a visit.
