The Good-Bad Movie Showdown is a friendly head-to-head contest to find the most enjoyable bad movie within a given theme. Each challenger pitches two movies to the hosts who vote on which flick from each contender to watch in competition. May the best-worst movie win!

Episode 4 - Robot

Robots rule the videos in this episode, starting with Beardo’s selection of the “Director's Cut” of Nemesis, a 1992 Albert Pyun masterpiece about a cyborg cop.

Bill‘s first selection is an Italian science fiction film directed by Alfonso Brescia (credited as Al Bradly). 1978’s War of The Robots, which according to the VHS case, was “apparently made under the influence of STAR WARS.”

Beardo’s second choice picks up where Albert Pyun’s other bionic classic Cyborg left off, but with a completely unrelated plot and 17 year old Angelina Jolie in her first lead role in Cyborg 2. The DVD case lists the movie as rated R and features ”sequences of strong sexuality.”

Bill’s second selection is a strange outlier, a 1985 cartoon mixed with live action from Korea. Solar Adventure, aka Robot King Sun Shark, which is the “literal title”. According to one Amazon reviewer “It's the best part anime, part live action South Korean Propaganda film about children in transformers-esque suits fighting the aliens helping the North Korean communists film ever made.” -MisterPP22
