The missile launches came as the United States and South Korea conducted their large-scale Freedom Shield joint military exercise, a drill that North Korea has repeatedly condemned as a rehearsal for invasion. This latest test marks North Korea’s third ballistic missile launch this year, raising fears about the country’s rapidly advancing missile capabilities and the possibility of further escalation in the already tense region.
