Mahindra has confirmed that prices for the XUV300 will be announced on 14 February 2019. Bookings for the compact SUV are already open across dealerships for a token amount of Rs 11,000. To the already crowded sub-4 metre SUV segment, the XUV300 brings a plethora of features, including seven airbags, dual-zone climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, a sunroof and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
XUV300 will be offered with a choice of two engines: a 115PS/300Nm 1.5-litre diesel, and a 110PS/200Nm 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol. Both motors will be offered with a 6-speed manual only.The compact SUV's petrol and diesel variants will return mileage-figures of 17 kmpl and 20 kmpl, respectively.

The compact SUV will come in three variants W4, W6, W8. There will be an optional offering W8(O) as well. It will be produced at Mahindra & Mahindra's manufacturing facility at Nashik in Maharashtra.

In terms of safety, XUV300 will offer segment-first seven airbags, including a knee airbag for the driver. It will also feature disc brakes on all four wheels and ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Breakforce Distribution) as standard across all variants. Besides, the vehicle will have front parking sensors, which Mahindra & Mahindra is claiming to be the first-in-segment, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) with hill hold assist, ISOFIX or child seat anchors and rear fog lamps. Also, there will be a three point seat belt for middle seat in the second row.

XUV300 will have a length of 3,995 mm and width of 1,821 mm. Its height will be 1,617 mm, wheelbase 2,600 mm and ground clearance 180 mm. It will come with a 265-litre boot and a 42-litre fuel tank.

SO far as the compact SUV's exterior design is concerned, its headlamps integrate with the fog lamps forming a Cheetah-like tear-duct and the pronounced wheel arches are inspired from the muscular haunches of the wild animal. The modern grille, sculpted bonnet, pronounced shoulder and body lines, along with elevated stance, give XUV300 a bold road presence. The dual LED DRLs and LED tail lamps add to the vehicle's style.

Inside the cabin, XUV300 will offer touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and dual-zone fully automatic climate control. The long wheelbase has resulted into ample cabin space, which can easily accommodate 5 adults. It gets premium leatherette seats, stylish dual-tone dashboard and an electric sunroof.
