Piatra Mare is an imposing mountain in the outskirts of Brașov city. A rather intensive climb starts at about 700m altitude and goes through lush forests, past a small hut and through some carry-bike rocky couloirs taking you up on the alpine pastures. From the top, at 1844m, the view is just glorious, and the descent something to write home about.
