Join me for a sunny autumnal day in the allotment turned forest garden to see whats growing in mid October! I have been away from the plot for two weeks, living off grid in a 42 acre forest in Norfolk at my skate retreats, frost has finally hit the sheffield garden but theres still lots to harvest.
A lot of the fresh and preserved food we use to prepare the guest meals at my retreats is homegrown in this little patch, or foraged in the local woodlands - not only because it’s more delicious and packed full of so much more nutrients than shop bought veg and spices - but also to keep food travel miles and our carbon footprint as low as possible.
