In a statement on Friday, The #WorldHealthOrganization (WHO) designated the new #Covid19 variant #Omicron (B.1.1.529), as a ‘variant of concern’ and said that the new variant has a large number of mutations, that may allow it to spread quickly, perhaps even among the vaccinated. However, a complete study of the new variant, its implications, severity, and transmissibility could take time.
