Working alongside the Americans, the Australian air force was committed to running an efficient and safe outfit. They achieved that, with No. 9 Squadron and their Hueys being proof of a quick, efficient, and well outfitted air force capable of supporting troops on the ground. Bob Redman would see much action, including working with the SASR and the US Army and Navy.
