We run the 2019 Honda CB650R on the Cycle World dyno to gather horsepower and torque performance.
Honda’s CB650R is the latest addition to the Neo-Sports Café group, dropping the CBR650F from the lineup and offering improved performance. In dropping the “F” designation, the CB650R sees an updated airbox design, larger air filter, and updated pistons, enhancing the character of its 649cc inline-four powerplant. ABS is offered on the CB for an additional $300 as an option, bringing the MSRP to $9,299. The ABS model also offers Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)—Honda code for traction control—which can be tailored to manage rear-wheel slip.
We measured the performance of the the CBR650R on the Cycle World dyno, recording horsepower and torque performance. The Honda produced 80.55 hp at 11,000 rpm and 42.14 pound-feet of torque at 8,160 rpm.
