Coach Olivarez has been named Harlandale ISD's Excel Teacher of the Year in 2025, making a difference in the classroom and on the field. He blends his disciplined style with a sense of humor to reach the young men and women in his charge.

From his beginnings he had a love for the game and wanted to help mentor young men to reach for their best. Behind tremendous support from three great leaders, Coach Olivarez is forging his own path and it looks to be a successful one.
