BADAM PURI – CHIROTE – KORDOI ( ONE DOUGH MAKE 3 INDIAN SWEETS)
Hi Everyone, Sorry couldn’t post any recipe last week, was busy with many other things and the video which was shot for the week had few flaws, so had to reshoot and it took a while.
This week we are going to make 3 easy festival recipes and the best part is, we can make all the 3 sweets with one dough and one syrup and it’s super easy.
The sweets are Badam Puri, Chirote, and Kordoi; Badam Puri is famous sweet from Karnataka, you get to see them at most of Karnataka weddings, Chirote is popular in Karnataka and Maharashtra last one Kordoi and its from Assam.
we will make all three sweets in one dough, they are my easy version.

Badam Puri - Chirote - Kordoi ( One Dough Make 3 Indian Sweets)

One dough 3 sweets

Ingredients
Dough
Maida 1½ Cup
Salt
Ghee 2 Tbsp
Water
Sugar Syrup
Sugar 1½ Cup
Water 2 Cups
Cardamom 2
Rice Flour
Ghee
Oil to Fry
Cloves
Instructions
Mix all the ingredients listed under dough section and make a stiff dough.
Rest the dough for 15 mins.
To make sugar syrup, dissolve sugar in water in low flame and simmer it till you get 1 string consistency, add cardamom for flavor.
Mix Rice Flour and ghee, make a paste.
Roll the dough into different shapes and techniques are explained in video.
Badam Puri
Pinch portion of dough, roll it to puri share, apply rice flour and ghee mixture on top, fold into a triangle shape, fix layer with a clove.
Chirote
Take a bigger portion of dough and roll it like chapati, apply rice flour and ghee mixture, roll it make spirals (check the video)
Kordoi
Roll it to puri shape, slit them using a knife and seal the corners.
Fry them in oil in medium heat, till it get crispy and gets golden evenly.
Once they are cooked in oil, dunk them in warm sugar syrup. leave in sugar syrup for 10 mins.
Remove the sweets from sugar syrup and keep aside in a plate, rest for 2 hrs before you serve.
Notes
Don't skip ghee while kneading the dough.
You can replace ghee with oil.
Fry them on medium heat, till it gets crispy.
