About 4 years ago I created an English fan translation hack for the Japanese exclusive JRPG game Popolocrois Monogatari II. It was a Summer project that I left unfinished and didn't publish because I did not think there was any interest. However, I have seen some traction on other romhacking projects (particularly for the first PSX game) and wanted to make sure that this work isn't left unknown if anyone else is interested in continuing or playing this alpha version of the game.

It is unlikely I will return to this project, but it is 90% complete and I have made great tools for modifying the game's dialogue and text without needing any romhacking knowledge using a GUI tool.

Here is what I have created:
-Front to back English translations for all cutscenes, items, menus, and all other important gameplay and dialogue elements in the game.
-Powerful development tools for replacing text in the game files without any knowledge of romhacking. (Not demonstrated in this video)
-Everything deemed unnecessary in the game (NPC's primarily) have all had their text auto-translated into English via google translate. I am a programmer/hacker, not a translator so this is the best I could do. It does not read well but it is better than nothing.

Here is what is not finished:
-A better looking English font (easy to do)
-Editing the first pass of translations (moderate)
-Actually translating NPC dialogue (massive undertaking)
-Potentially adding captions to the anime cutscenes (would need a veteran PS1 romhacker, much better than I)
-Chapter titles (very difficult, text is pulled from PSx BIOS)
