Nichibutsu | COP 01
A favourite at Chada's shop on Carlisle road, Derry.
Chada's shop would rent PCBs from the same supplier as Leisureway.
They'd choose games that Leisureway didn't have. And since Leisureway always had all the latest from Sega/Konami/Capcom/Namco and the bigger games from Taito, Chada's shop would get lesser known games from the likes of Nichibutsu/Nintendo/Taito/Technos/Tecmo/Jaleco/SNK and so on, and operate a high score competition for a grand prize of £5 that the local kids would compete for.
Because of Chada's shop we were exposed to some obscurities/oddities we might not have, otherwise.
Some of those oddities went on to become cult classics among hardcore video game fanatics.
The owner 'Johnny' Chada was a beloved local character who always had a kind word for us kids.
