Описание: Padmadurg Fort (Kasa Fort): Located off the coast of Murud-Janjira, Padmadurg—also known as Kasa Fort—is a 17th-century maritime stronghold built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Strategically constructed on a rocky island, it was intended to monitor naval movements and challenge the dominance of the Siddhis' Janjira Fort. The fort’s distinctive lotus-shaped upper structure inspired its name, Padmadurga. Once a bustling shipbuilding yard, it remains a site of historical significance. However, visiting the fort requires special permission from the Navy or Coast Guard and access via a designated boat.
