Election campaigning in Gilgit-Baltistan has officially ended ahead of polling day. A total of 396 candidates, including 266 independents and 7 women candidates, are contesting elections across 24 constituencies. For the electoral process, 1,368 polling stations have been established, with 480 categorized as highly sensitive, 350 as sensitive, and 457 as normal. The province has 958,780 registered voters, including 503,772 male and 454,708 female voters. Authorities have completed security arrangements, with 15,000 police personnel deployed to ensure a peaceful and orderly voting process.
