Have you ever noticed that funny little word in the Psalms – Selah? It’s thought to mean a sacred pause in the song. Let that sink in. Amidst the noise of estate life – maybe it’s time you took a sacred pause too. Welcome to Selah.
Now Jesus asked, ‘what good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?’ (Mark 8:36). In the same way, what good is transforming your neighbourhood if it costs you your health? God cares about your wholeness, not just your ministry. Yes, there’s a cost to ministry, but it shouldn’t be your wellbeing.
Selah has been created with your wellbeing in mind. In partnership with Corin Pilling, a long-time advocate for mental health in ministry, we’ve created a series of reflections, videos, simple practices, and prayers to support your wellbeing as you serve others.
