Описание: The night before was perfect — quiet, remote, and exactly why we love overlanding in places like the Owyhee Canyonlands. The next morning, after turning on Starlink to check in, we saw something that immediately changed the tone of our day.

A comment on social media claimed we were spotted on a trail camera at the exact location we were camped — even though we never shared where we were. We didn’t know where the camera was, what it could see, or if we were being actively watched.

We fully respect land stewardship and protecting these wild places. In fact, we cleaned up trash left behind at this spot ourselves. But when simple questions about the camera went unanswered, we decided to trust our instincts and move on.

After leaving camp, we continued exploring the incredible Owyhee Canyonlands — one of the most remote and dramatic landscapes in the lower 48. From vast canyon views to a possible cave spotted high on the canyon wall, this place continues to surprise us.

We eventually headed toward Nampa, Idaho for fuel and supplies, where a spontaneous stop led to a milestone moment — I finally got my nose pierced as I prepare to turn 50.

We ended the day finding a peaceful forest camp near Silver City, Idaho — reminded once again that life on the road is about more than destinations. It’s about listening to your instincts, embracing change, and staying true to yourself.
