Arrangement of "Calm Before the Storm" from Final Fantasy X, arranged in the style of Final Fantasy XVI soundtrack.

I've liked Histoire since the first time I heard it in FF16. The airy reverbant piano, delicate woodwinds, subtle synths and guitars... I could go on and on. Likewise, Calm Before the Storm is one of Uematsu's best work on FFX, shifting between uplifting and happy into mysterious and menacing.

Aside from instrumentation, on this arrangement I changed the time signature as well. CBTS is in 3/4 time, and I wanted to wrangle the melodies into different timings. Over time the arrangement strayed further away from Histoire and more into experimental territory, but I tried to keep the instruments and building blocks faithful to it. Likewise, I didn't touch the chords and melodies of CBTS too much, I wanted it to sound familiar to FFX fans, just with a new twist :)
