His academic contributions include the monumental two-volume The Autopoiesis of Architecture, where he outlines a comprehensive theory of the discipline.Schumacher is best known for introducing Parametricism, a style based on computational and algorithmic design processes, which he describes as the successor to Modernism and Postmodernism.
