Spectrophotometry is technique which is used to determine the absorption of different wavelength of light by a particular chemical compound or a photosynthetic pigment.
the spectrophotometer is an instrument that measures the amount of light that passes through the sample and from this it can be calculated how much light is absorbed.
the amount of light absorbed at each wavelength is plotted in graph and the result is what we call the absorption spectrum.
