Описание: Licensed Veterinary Technicians have a unique and critical role in the management of emergency cases in conjunction with the veterinarian. Understanding the typical clinical presentations and initial treatment of common emergencies, as well as having a plan in place for when such cases occur, is critical for successful outcomes. This session discusses the development of protocols for emergency care of shelter animals and focuses on the triage and initial stabilization of the more common types of cases likely to be seen in the shelter setting.
