Описание: CHARLES COLLINS TEAGUE RESIDENCE. As a second family home, this residence has long been: known as the Teague Mansion and was the first to be built in this section of the McKevett subdivision in early 1922. The hillside location was ideal to take advantage of the spectacular views up and down the valley. Baronial in scale and design, the architect was again Roy Wilson, who took great care to situate the residence to be compatible with the proposed three acres of grounds. The landscape firm of Ralph Cornell and Theodore Payne created the stunning setting with its sweeping lawns, decorative shrubs, and stately trees. Inviting steps from the spacious front terrace lead to welcoming garden paths. The formal interior with rich oak paneling, timbered ceilings, and spacious rooms lent itself to grand entertaining or intimate dinners. Teague was quoted as saying, "We love Santa Paula and the people, and we plan to live here the rest of our lives, so we built a house with that in thought." The home remained in the family until 1966 and is located at 724 McKevett Road.
