Phone Not Charging After Water Damage? Temperature Warning Fixed

Описание: If your phone shows a “Temperature Warning” after water damage and refuses to charge, the problem is often a corroded charging port. In this video, I show you the complete step-by-step charging port replacement process and how to safely fix this issue.
Step 1 – Opening the Phone Safely
First, we place the phone on a 90°C separator to soften the back cover adhesive. After carefully removing the back glass, we unscrew and disconnect all necessary components to access the charging board.
Step 2 – Removing the Damaged Charging Port
The charging board is secured on a PCB holder.
Using hot air at around 170°C, we gently heat the area to loosen the adhesive.
Flux is applied on top of the charging port pins.
We then add solder to evenly tin the pads and safely remove the damaged port.
After removing it, we apply flux again and use solder wick to clean excess solder from the pads, preparing the board for the new port.
Step 3 – Installing the New Charging Port
The new charging port is carefully aligned and soldered in place.
After soldering, the board is cleaned using PCB cleaner and thinner to remove flux residue.
Under the microscope, we inspect every pin to make sure all connections are solid and properly aligned.
Important Precautions
During the process, we make sure the microphone does not overheat and no flux or thinner enters it. Heat control and proper insulation are critical to prevent further damage.
Step 4 – Reassembly and Testing
The charging board is reinstalled into the phone.
We reassemble the device, apply fresh adhesive, and close the back cover.
Finally, we test charging to confirm the temperature warning is gone and the phone charges normally.
If your device has charging problems after water exposure, this repair method can restore proper function and prevent further motherboard damage.
