Science Grants Are In A Deep Freeze

Описание: The National Science Foundation (NSF) is one of the world’s leading funders of basic science research and education. Now the Trump administration has told it to “stop awarding all funding actions until further notice.” This is both a freeze on awarding new grants, and on disbursing funds for grants that were previously awarded. The notice to NSF came in late April 2025. An exclusive article in Nature on May 1 - by Dan Garisto - announced the freeze. Dan will join us at 12:15 p.m. CDT (17:15 UTC) on Tuesday, May 20, to provide an update on the funding freeze at NSF. EarthSky's Deborah Byrd will host.
