Mobile training centre showcases job opportunities on HS2

Описание: Flannery Plant Hire has joined forces with HS2’s construction partner EKFB (a team made up of Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall) to create a new mobile training centre that is demonstrating the career opportunities on HS2 in Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire.

Furnished to a high spec, including classroom space and its own plant training simulator, the facility has been funded by the region’s Skills Advisory Panel. The mobile centre is being used to engage job seekers at local careers fares as well as providing a vital link into schools and colleges, demonstrating the local training and career opportunities available in constructing Britain’s new high-speed railway.

The facility compliments the purpose-built Operator Skills Hub in Westbury, which is already training over 100 new recruits. Funded by the Department for Education, it includes a 16-seat classroom, three indoor plant simulators and a four-acre outdoor space for practical training and assessments.
