A Conversation Between Four CHINESE NATIVES - Real Chinese VS Chinese Teacher's Chinese

Описание: As a Chinese teacher, I'm doing my best to speak naturally and express myself in a way that resembles how ordinary Chinese people speak in real life, while still using grammar and vocabulary appropriate for my students' levels. However, when my 'teacher mode' is on, I find it difficult to avoid speaking a little differently from how I normally do with my Chinese friends.

This video shows a conversation among four Chinese friends, all of whom are native speakers. If you listen carefully, you'll notice that each of them speaks differently. The purpose of this video is not to make you feel anxious or frustrated; in fact, most Chinese people cannot understand a dialect unless they are from that specific region.

I simply want to emphasize that there are all different kinds of "Chinese languages" in China, which makes the language more interesting! You begin with the "Chinese teacher's Mandarin", then you will get familiar with the "native speaker's Mandarin". And if you develop a closer relationship with Chinese individuals, you may encounter various accents and even dialects of Mandarin.
