Since the end of Half Life 2: Episode 2, fans have been craving a new Half Life. Heck, it would be neat enough if Episode 3 released but for a while, everyone's wanted Half Life 3. It didn't help that hints and discoveries over the years further made us believe in the sequel's existence.
