The church of Panagia Galaktotrofousa is located at the entrance of the village (Agia Varvara - Mathiati road) and is built on a small hill. The date of its construction remains unknown.
Under the church there is a catacomb, which is believed to have been used as a place of worship during the Turkish occupation. The icon of the Virgin Mary was discovered inside the catacomb and for this reason a church was built above the catacomb, dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
Holy shrine was also found inside the catacomb, which today ends up in a reservoir built by the residents of the community in 1954.
