Bolangir jewellery loot case: 10 arrested, gold, silver recovered

Описание: In a major breakthrough, Bolangir police have arrested 10 persons in connection with a loot and dacoity at a jewellery shop in Chudapali under Sadar police station limits.

According to police, the incident took place on the night of January 30, when miscreants looted gold and silver ornaments from Maa Mangala Jewellery Shop. Following a complaint, police launched an intensive investigation.

Addressing a press conference, Bolangir SP Abhilash G said that six accused are from Nayagarh district, three from Bolangir, while one person was arrested as a receiver who allegedly purchased the stolen jewellery. The accused were reportedly involved in multiple loot cases under Sadar and Loisingha police station limits.

Police have recovered a substantial quantity of stolen ornaments, and further investigation is underway to determine the gang’s involvement in other similar crimes.
