CNC Knifemaking Workshop at Tormach - John Grimsmo Knives

Описание: Video highlights of Tormach's first specialty workshop: CNC For Knifemakers. Held in Waunakee, Wisconsin at the Tormach Corporate Headquarters, the 3.5 day workshop was led by knifemakers John and Erik Grimsmo of John Grimsmo Knives.

Class participants from as far away as Texas and California each built their own fixed-blade hunting knife, nicknamed the Tor. Throughout the week students machined blades on the PCNC 1100 before heat treating, tempering and finish machining. Blade handles were 3D machined on the PCNC 770, before installing and sharpening the blades on a Wicked Edge knife sharpening system.

Talking about their overall experience and impressions of the class, each participant has a unique professional background and will apply skills learned in the workshop to their industries.
