Ebb & Felt needle felted horse sculpture.

Описание: Needle felting is a time consuming and artistic process of transforming fiber (such as sheep wool, alpaca, mohair, yak, etc.) into 3D objects using a barbed needle.

The animal sculptures I create are hand made and one-of-a-kind works of art. Subjects are researched and referenced extensively to help make them as realistic and lifelike as possible.
The sculpture includes wire armature, core wool to form a base and musculature, custom natural colored alpaca fleece From my own family farm Nimbus Farm Alpacas LLC, hand painted glass eyes, hand sculpted clay nose, and detailing such as clay claws or hooves, horse hair whiskers, etc.

Felted animals are art sculptures and are not toys. While they are not necessarily fragile, they can be picked apart or the fiber pulled out. Eyes, noses, claws, etc. are usually fastened in place with strong adhesives combined with felting and can pose a chocking hazard for young children or pets.
