Turning a wooden cup (kuksa) from a single piece of well dried plum wood — a clean and fast 8 minute version of the full build. This video shows the entire process: shaping the exterior, hollowing the inside, sanding, and applying the final oil finish. During drilling, the bit suddenly catches the cup and breaks the handle — an unexpected moment that becomes part of the story. I repaired the handle by gluing it back together and replacing the missing piece of wood before finishing the cup.
Despite the mishap, the final result is a beautiful handmade wooden cup.
