Several years ago I bough a couple of these old structure kits at a train show, and this seemed like a good time to put one together.
As always, I didn't go in with a firm plan, and even that plan shifted in mid project.
Hurray for happy accidents.

As far as I can tell, these kits are from the 1970s. They haven't been made for decades, but are a few show up occasionally on Ebay,
Other than that, I couldn't find much info about them.
I did find a catalogue page from 1977 that mentions them ( http://www.hoseeker.net/jmc/jmccatalo... ) and the most of the same castings show up in some different kits from this 1973 catalogue ( http://www.hoseeker.net/mdclist/rhcat... ).
A single story kit using the same castings was also shown in the 1973 catalog ( http://www.hoseeker.net/mdclist/rhold... )

This isn't the only way to do it.
