Official development assistance (ODA): Preliminary 2025 data and projections

Описание: Official development assistance (ODA) faced a steep decline in 2025, according to preliminary data from the #OECD.

ODA from members of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) fell by 23.1% in real terms compared to 2024, amounting to USD 174.3 billion. This decline represents the largest annual decrease in ODA recorded to date.

The decline was driven mainly by reductions among the top 5 providers (France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States), which together accounted for 95.7% of the total decrease. This year marks the first time on record that these providers have simultaneously reduced their ODA.

The OECD projects a further 5.8% decrease in 2026.
