Hi guys! For those who have followed my channel, you'd know that I've been trying to fix some yaw oscillation issues with my Shuriken X1.
Initially I thought I fixed it with the loose camera lens element, and while that did solve most of the oscillation issues, I noticed that I still had some yaw oscillations especially at certain throttle levels.
With moriwaky's suggestion from RCGroups forums, and after how nothing else seemed to work, I decided to soft-mount the motors.
Apparently these T-Motor F40ii 2600kV motors were notoriously difficult to tune, and I was not the only one having issues with it (people had issues with it on other frames as well)
Do note that although I didn't show it in the video, I did test the motors individually, and all of them displayed the same symptoms at ~1260 throttle albeit at different intensities, so it's not 1 broken motor or something like that.
So does soft mounting work? check out the video to find out!
